Kim H said… - hahah, you are funny Kenneth. I was quite excited about the Amerigo project but honestly, we don't have the skill set or the time to do a ground up rebuild. All that was salvageable was one upper cabinet and the cushions. It is still sitting as it was a year ago. Someone painted the exterior with latex paint, caulked ALL the windows closed. I spent countless hours working on it and really was getting no where. It's in storage now.
So what I'm saying is that I not only will I be no help, I'm sorta lost.

Bad leak in the rear, pulling the interior out to figuring just what I'm going to do. Most of the framing I can replace from the inside but a few pieces of wood framing I'll epoxy. I restored a 1934 Richardson boat in the 70's. Some of the boat club I brought it from helped me and showed me how to use exopy to stablize the damaged wood. I found the problem on the rood and will take care of that shortly.
What's the best way to seal the roof? I can take care of the leaks but I'm interested in the best way to coat the roof.
I've got some pictures of where I'm at and will post them shortly.

Tamara Cross said… - Kenneth, While my aunt has a cabin there, we have never taken the RV over to that side of the mountain, so I don't have anything useful to contribute - so sorry. Beside that is the fact that we are living in Ohio now and have gone from living in our RV for 1 1/2 years to moving into a house (though the RV is still in the backyard (waiting for her glory days to re-commence - lol). So sorry not to be more helpful. The Wenatchee is a beautiful place, and we hope you guys have a FABULOUS time!!

I looked at the '87 Tioga (almost 50K on it) again yesterday and it had a small leak (we got about an inch and a half of rain this weekend, so I thought it would be a good time to check it out!) in the front passenger corner of the cabover. We call that part the "Monkey House" because that is where my Little Monkey will hang out! :-) I also found where a leak had been in the rear driver's corner, inside a cabinet, but that area was dry so I guess they'd repaired it. How terrible is a leak like the one I found? There was quite a bit of moisture up there, but no puddles or anything.
It sure is nice to be able to bounce questions off someone who knows what they are doing! Thanks so much and have a great day!

Yeah we've been down here for about 3 months and staying in peoples yards we meet. The campgrounds are to much money, the Trailer parks are cheaper. Key west is a funny place, nice to visit, but I don't think Id live here.
