Craig, Camping World has a plastic vent extension piece that perfectly fits a typical 14" roof vent with the flange to go against the ceiling that will make up for he thickness of the roof. I used them in mine and it works great. The port hole is ma…
Gary,
Nice job on the port hole! I was thinking of trying to find a round window from an old travel trailer. Problem is Glastrons are so thick. The door is at least 3in thick and the roof at least 4in. I found out about the roof when I replaced a ve…
Jimmy, They are aluminum wheels. When we decided to start traveling more I put new Toyo tires and the aluminum wheels on. I don't remember the brand, I got them at a truck tire garage in Weatherford, Texas. The inner dual wheel is a steel wheel. I d…
Gary: Everytime I see your Glastron I like it more! I love the porthole and am going to put something like that in my door also. Do you have wheel simulators or new aluminum wheels on your rig? Also, where did you get them? Thanks, great pics, Jim
Those pictures of yours are great Mike. I enjoy seeing these old motorhomes in different settings. You inspired me to dig through some old files and find some more of mine. One of the problems I found with the Glastron was when someone knocks on you…
I would like to see if he has the same owners manual that I do, I think I am missing some pages. Maybe between the two of us we could reproduce copies of the original manual for other Glastron owners. If he is open to that idea I will do what I can…
I agree sometimes I wish I had room to store it . My wife and I have A toyhauler and wouldnt use the RV much but we have alot of good memmories in it as kids. My dad purchased this when I was 3.
Mike, Wow! Your dad is a quite a craftsman. To move the galley like he did must have been a huge job, and what an excellent job. Some might not like that it isn't original but mine isn't original either. We all have our own ideas and improvements to…
You might have something there, Craig. I will have to see what mine says. Maybe we can decipher the code if we get enough information from different Glastrons.
My parents owned an RV rental and sales business in El Paso, Texas in the late 60's and early 70's. I have been attracted to vintage travel trailers and motorhomes since. I have owned numerous RV's and have several rare motorhomes and a couple of vintage trailers now. I think my blood type is RV.

offering us a Glastron page? Just a way to keep glastron related stuff in one spot. Now for my first question; My onan runs but won't make 110v. I'm hoping it's just a switch. I'll try to attach a pic of my switch panel. What does the lever type switch on the side of the circut breaker box do?
Hey Gary, mine does have the rear side windows, it was the only one I had seen that way until I saw yours. Mine says its made in 6/70. My galley is on the pass side with a dinette and the worlds smallest wet bath on the drivers side. Do you guys have a Glastron thread going so as to keep all the info in one place? My Glastron came with no info, so I have tons of questions. I hope I can pick your brain a little as you seem to be a long time owner/rv'er. I'll add a couple of pics soon.
I got my 'tron in Albq. NM. about a month ago. Unless its the other one you had heard of, now there are three rear bed models.
Thanks for the reply,
Craig
PS ever think of doing a Glastron RV yahoo group?
