Lived, breathed, traveled, rebuilt, you name it - if it's RV related, I do it and have done it! Started in 1955 as an infant migrant worker, living in the classic trailers and campers that we all drool over now. Went through the Columbus Day Storm (hurricane winds in 1962 in the Pacific Northwest) while living in a 1958 Spartan Travel trailer with my parents and 2 brothers. That was exciting!
My wife and I currently own a Holiday Rambler Vacationer, however, we have had over head campers, pop up tent trailers, 5th wheels, bumper mounts, Toy Haulers, Class A, Class B and Class C motorhomes. It's a passion and a lifestyle, as most of you know. We live in a log home high in the foothills of the Cascades, outside of the Portland metropolitan area. But we get out and RV whenever possible.
Areas currently Rving, planning to RV, or have camped
We've RVed all over the northwest and south to Arizona, Nevada, California. We are planning an outing this spring to Eastern Oregon and Hell's Canyon, then Disneyland if possible. Notorious boondockers, to say the least.
What's Your RV Type
Class A RV
Favorite Campgrounds & RV Parks
Walmart, Fred Meyers, any large store that's not posted No RV's ;-) Seriously, Fort Stevens in Oregon, all of the Dunes campgrounds up and down the Oregon Coast. We are fortuanate to have a large number of quality camping areas throughout our neck of the woods. From 10 miles to 300 miles in any direction, there is great RVing in the Pacific Northwest.
