Our Guess Is

Most parks could reduce operational costs by allowing more volunteers to contribute their talents and energy in the everyday operations of the park. State parks that are closing would be well served to utilize the security of a camp host presence in the park while it is closed. There are a lot of volunteers that would enjoy the peace and quite of a deserted park for a change. Come join with us in getting this message out to the government officials in charge of this situation.…See More

Our Hope

In 2008, 120,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, removed trash and invasive plants and planted over 1.6 million trees.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics calculates the national value per volunteer hour is $19.51. Federal and state parks have discovered the value of rv volunteers. We hope cities will recognize how rv volunteers could provide much needed people power for their cash strapped governments and over burdened volunteer organizations.
To accomplish this relationship cities must first build designated rv campsites in key locations throughout the cities. Placed near museums, libraries, parks, hospitals, government buildings, gardens, etc..
It is our firm belief that cities willing and able to provide the RV sites in exchange for an expanded quality workforce will find, just as state and national parks have found, exchanging RV sites for volunteer hours, is a most beneficial arrangement.

Our Hope

We are your Park Hosts, Bill & Barbara. It's our hope for the future to attract large numbers of volunteer camp host

rv'ers eager to explore the inner cities. But first.. designated rv campsites

must be built for the volunteers in safe and convenient locations throughout the cities.

The campsites exchanged for volunteer service would be placed near museums, zoos, libraries, parks,

hospitals, government… Continue
