Good Old RVs

Last Thanksgiving weekend, I loaded up the buggy and Richie and I went to the desert for a holiday weekend of fun. We were heading out earlier than the rest of the crew, to grab a good spot for us all. The trip out was fun, no problems. We got there, got set up, and went for a buggy ride.

A couple of hours later, we get back to the camp and start to think about dinner. I looked around, inside and outside the camper, and realized I had left all the dry food at home! All we had was in the cooler. Sodas, Beer, and some cold/frozen food. I called home (after several messages the wife called me back), and sure enough the box of food was right there at the back door. I called my homie Patrick, and found he was not going to come out that night but the next morning. Richie and I looked at each other, and figured we would survive.

Just then, two lovely ladies from the next camp came over with two very large plates packed with all the makings of a perfect Thanksgiving Dinner. Yes indeed, they had heard me on the phone, and decided that the true Thanksgiving was to share, and brother, let me tell you, we ate better than we would have if I didnt forget my food!

The kindest thing, from strangers, made our whole weekend perfect.

Another phone call to home,

People can be wonderful ... sometimes.

I enjoyed your story! It's so true that the things that go wrong make the memories! Sometimes camping bloopers are only funny when they happen to someone else or AFTER they happen to you. Thanks again for the post.

Stay in man that is what the public needs is for someone to show the big company they can't scare and run the little guy off. Hope you the best. Jim

Do you have any interior photo of the streamline?

A retro classic from the past. All aluminum, aircraft style build. Aluminum interior, no leaks, solid floor, rear bath model, with twin beds. Needs very little to be excellent. Getting rare and hard to find in this shape.
